1. GET FOCUSED. Consider what the space is used for: is general lighting enough, or is there need for task lighting? Dimmable and portable lamps are flexible solutions for many lighting needs.
2. SIZE MATTERS. Choose a lamp that fits the dimensions and height of the room. A small lamp can disappear in a large room, while a massive pendant can feel overwhelming in a tight space.
3. ONE OR MORE? Instead of a single bright light, it’s often more pleasant to create "islands" of light with several lamps. How about a table lamp on a side table and a floor lamp in a corner?
