WE'RE BACK! welcome to the Oily Rag, our monthly/when we remember to send it missive of recent and future happenings in the Deusphere (patent pending).

We're kicking off (again) with an absolutely, quintessential selection of fuar eliciting stories. For starters, a custom bike out of our Milano workshop built in collaboration with our friends at Royal Enfield. The 'Rolling Queen' is a curvaceous chopper tribute with what some have described as 'alluring cruiser qualities', most can only dream about receiving such accolades.

Nessup is a charmed recollection of our latest European Parking Lot d'Elegance. For the uninitiated, the P.L.D is our roving conceptual altar upon which four-wheeled vehicles (normally the luxury or racing variety) are venerated among friends. This edition was particularly lavish as it took place in the Dutch countryside with live industrial art demonstrations and rivers of fine wines; Tough day on the tools for sure.

(For this next bit, we'd recommend holding the image in your head of an Indiana Jones-style map montage; it really enhances the reading experience.)

We're then spinning the globe and dropping some tyres for a trip to the tropics and enjoying some fundamental Deus activities at CUSTOM WARS 2023. Not half as intimidating as the name would suggest, more of a custom love in with everything you'd ever want out of a bike event; Including but not limited to beach sprints, huge live music and enjoying the visual Charcuterie of motorcycles on display as the August sun saunters into the horizon. Equal parts romantic and puerile, one for the books.

Last but not least, the wrap-up of the last edition of the Swank Rally di Sardegna: our great adventure into the wildness of this Italian island which offers some of the best landscape and offroad ride we've ever done.

The Rolling Queen, a fiery creation of the Deus Workshop in Milan, emerged as the offspring of an electrifying collaboration with our friends from Royal Enfield. The mission? To craft a head-turning getaway machine, drawing inspiration from the rebellious chopper culture of the wild 70s, all while infusing it with a contemporary cruiser allure. And as you witness this beast gracefully glide through the very streets it calls home, rest assured, we've not just hit the mark; we've exceeded it.

In the last weekend of August, the beautiful estate of Plantage Rococo transformed into the most iconic parking lot in all of the Netherlands. While a few kilometers away, we could hear the roaring engines of the Formula 1 cars at the Dutch GP in Zandvoort, a tribe of 4x4 and overland adventurers gathered on the estate of Plantage Rococo for a weekend of shared passion for 4x4 overlanders, culinary delights, South African wine and biltong, soul-stirring music, tales of daring escapades and nights under the stars. The catalyst for this gathering? Deus Parking Lot d’Elegance: an extraordinary assembly of iconic overlanders.

Bali has a group for almost every different enthusiasm of custom motorcycles out there, from Harley’s to Monkey Bike’s and most of the variants in between. One of these groups of custom motorcycle enthusiasts is Naskleng 13, they’re also the organizers of what is undoubtedly the largest custom motorcycle event held in Bali. This year, under the banner of "Not an annual custom culture show on the Island of Gods, Bali" they ran their Custom Wars for the fifth time.

Sardinia, Italy - The 5th edition of the Swank Rally di Sardegna has come to a close. It's not just the breathtaking landscapes that this island offers, or even the incredible tracks we covered for over 1000 km. What truly makes this event exceptional are the people. So many new and old friends coming together to share their passion and enthusiasm for dirt tracks. If you add to this the fantastic bikes and the marvellous showcase of Sardinia, well, you have one extraordinary event.

An iconic original, restored and rendered in a sparkly new aesthetic by our Brazilian brothers at the Deus Mansion. The Caloi 10 (as in ten speed) was the first racing bike to be fully manufactured in Brazil, quickly becoming a mainstay for generations of cycling savants throughout the 70’s and 80’s. And now, in '22 these two wheels of tradition have never looked better.
