The Product Sustainability Framework (PSF), developed by Finnish Design Shop, is a new sustainability tool designed to assist consumers and professionals in making more responsible purchasing decisions. At the same time, it seeks to set a new standard and direction for the entire design industry.

The Product Sustainability Framework aims to provide a sustainability rating for each product available on Finnish Design Shop’s online store. These ratings are determined through a survey directed towards manufacturers, assessing sustainability comprehensively from raw materials to climate impact and social responsibility.

The public launch of the Product Sustainability Framework will take place during Helsinki Design Week on Thursday, 14 September.

The event will feature a panel discussion with acclaimed Swedish designer Fredrik Paulsen, CEO of Nikari and Woodnotes, Johanna Vuorio, CEO and co-founder of Design Agency Fyra, Hanna Neuvo, and Reetta Noukka, Chief Operating Officer of Finnish Design Shop.
