When Alvar Aalto designed a new building for his architectural practice in Helsinki in the mid-1950s, he created a light-filled studio space with gently curved walls and a view of a courtyard shaped like an amphitheater. Let's visit Studio Aalto – a place where creativity, architecture, and everyday life intertwined.

At the studio, we had the opportunity to photograph the Aalto wood relief – 20 pieces of which have been produced by Artek to mark our online store's 20th anniversary. For every anniversary edition sold, we donate 200 euros to the Alvar Aalto Foundation to help conserve the original floor of the studio’s drawing hall.
